Essay on Physical Exercise

 

The term "physical exercise" refers to the systematic movement of the limbs of our body. It is essential for keeping good health in today's world where most of the people do sedentary works. The aim of exercise is to keep ourselves fit and active.

Good health is the most important blessing of Almighty God. A healthy person can enjoy his life properly. Regular exercise is a must to keep good health. Hence it is necessary for all of us. It is necessary not only for our body, but also for our mind. Because, there is a close relation between our body and mind. A proverb says.

"A sound mind lies in a sound body." 

If our body remains unsound, the mind also must be unsound.

Physical exercise can be compared to education. As education develops the faculties of our mind, exercise develops all parts of the human body. So to keep our body and mind sound, physical exercise is mandatory for us all.

Physical exercise can be various types. Most of the time people take free hand exercise without any instrument. This type of exercise is suitable for people of all ages, in all seasons. Walking, Running, Swimming, Boxing, Riding, Wrestling, Gymnastics are good forms of physical exercise. 

Different types of outdoor games like football, cricket, hockey, tennis, badminton, Kabadi etc. are also good forms of physical exercise. For exercise, various types of equipment are available in the market today. There are numerous gymnasiums for men and women in cities, and towns. Besides, there are some yoga institutes for exercise where there are trained trainers.

Our life is full of struggle and activities. In fact life has become so much competitive and full of challenge. It is very difficult to shine in life. Our whole life can be compared as a battlefield. And we must have to keep ourselves fit to win here. To keep fit, we must have to be habituated to take exercise regularly. Our body is like a machine. If we do not maintenance it well, it goes on damaging.

In student life, physical exercise is a must. Because, the student life is the period of physical and mental growth. Normal circulation of blood is an important fact of human body. Exercise helps us to keep this normal. So every student should get up early and take exercise regularly. The student, who does not take exercise regularly, loses his eagerness to study and can’t be be attentive to his lesson. He fells a prey to disease very easily.

It is a matter of regret that students are not willing to take exercise today. Their only job is to read and scroll the social media pages. Their entertainmenis confined to some smartphone and computer games. They should bear in mind that even their bright results without sound health, will be of no use. A rich man of poor wealth can’t enjoy his life properly. A man with good health always remains cheerful, energetic and hardworking. On the other hand, a man with poor health always remains short tempered.

There is an old saying that says- “Health is the root of all happiness”. We have to realize the fact that, the fitness of the body is the pre-condition to lead a happy and prosperous life. So we all should take regular exercise and be prepared for the upcoming challenges.
